Chris Chance started building offroad bicycles in 1982, to this point he was making roadbikes. This is Fat Chance number 22 of 1983. The frame is TIG welded and comes with the unique Reynolds 531 (UK) box crown fork. Fat Chance was using a long BMX seatpost combined with shim, to get the extension which allows the sloping top tube frame design.
This is a typical example of an early Eastcoast build.
