This is a state of the art heat treated aluminium frame with square chainstays, internal cable routing and under the bottom bracket SunTour Rollercam brake.

The shifting cable penetrating the chainstay identifies it as one of the first production year.

Original chromed Spinner fork.

Gary Klein is an engineer who started bulding Boron fibre enforced, heat treated oversize tubing aluminium roadbike frames in 1976. His technologies were far ahead the ones of the European lugged steel framebuilders. His kind of Aluminium 6061 frames became standard for the whole bicycle industry in the 90's.

In 1985 Klein released its first offroad model called Mountain Klein as the one shown here.
