Keith Bontrager built different kind of bicycles like mountain-, touring- and cyclocross-bikes from the end of the seventies.
He got famous for components like the triple clamp fork.
He rolled down roadbike rims to MTB size to build leight-weight racing wheelsets.
In 1995 his company joined the Trek Bicycle Group. Today Bontrager is concentrating on components only.
This is an early Bontrager OR with Bontrager Composite fork, horizontal dropouts front and rear.
The frame is welded, brazed, riveted and bonded of American True Temper ATX steel tubing.
Nicely handcrafted frame with monostay, several sheet metal gussets and lots of neat details.
